GUIDED EROTIC MEDITATION

Introduction: What is erotic meditation?

Guided erotic meditation is a form of meditation that combines mindfulness and sexual wellness to promote relaxation, self-awareness, and a heightened sense of pleasure and eroticism. It involves a guided meditation led by a trained clinician or through a pre-recorded audio session, where participants are encouraged to focus on their senses, emotions, and physical sensations in a sensual and intimate way.

Here’s a general outline of what guided erotic meditation might involve:

1. Setting the environment:
– Participants are usually instructed to create a comfortable and private space, dim the lights, and eliminate distractions.
– In-office, clients have the option to remain sitting up or laying down on a meditation table. Clients are draped with a warm blanket for comfort.
– Soft, ambient music or calming sounds may be used to enhance the atmosphere.

2. Breathing exercises:
– The meditation often begins with guided breathing exercises to help calm and relax and become more present in the moment.

3. Body awareness and deeper relaxation:
– Participants are guided to bring awareness to different parts of the body, either starting from the toes and gradually moving upward or starting from the head and gradually moving downward.
– Mindfulness is encouraged, with a focus on noticing sensations, tension, and relaxation.

4. Sensory focus:
– The meditation may incorporate sensory enhancements such as sound, scent, and body-awareness prompts encouraging participants to be present with their experiences within.

5. Intimacy visualization:
– Participants may be guided to visualize intimate scenarios to activate the imagination, and enhance the overall experience.

6. Mindful touch:
– Mindful touch may be self-introduced to enhance body awareness in the privacy and safety of the participant’s environment. Restrictions apply if the session is conducted in-office.

7. Exploration of desires:
– The meditation may involve an invitation to be curious to explore personal desires and fantasies, fostering a non-judgmental and accepting attitude towards one’s own sexuality.

8. Letting go of tension and relaxation:
– Towards the end of the session, there is typically a focus on dissolving tension, stress, and any emotional obstacles, promoting inner-healing and a sense of wellness.

It’s important to note that guided erotic meditation is a collaborative process between the client and clinician.  Aspects of the meditation pre-discussed include the design of the meditation, comfort levels, ethics and values, and personal boundaries. These sessions are with your dignity in mind; trauma-informed, respectful and consensual, with a primary focus on sexual health, well-being and self-discovery.

Erotic meditation can help with:

  • Increasing and amplifying presence and desire
  • Intensifying orgasmic energy and experiencing more profound pleasure
  • Erection quality and the ability to experience and sustain erections longer
  • Mindfully explore eroticism with curiosity
  • Dissolve guilt and shame associated with aspects of sexuality
  • Build sexual confidence
