The human mind is a fascinating place to journey through and seek understanding. Do you feel lost or disconnected and wish to understand yourself in a manner that brings you to new insights and a clearer path?

Since the beginning of my career as a mental health nurse over 20 years ago, individuals who were seeking assistance have provided me with the privilege in witnessing their own pathways to inner healing and taking steps towards recovery.  In both hospital and community settings, my nursing experience connected me to both individuals and their families’ struggles with mental health concerns as well as appreciating their unique resiliency. I loved being a part of others’ “Aha moments”. These experiences fueled my desire to continue to help others which began my own path in becoming a Marriage and Family Therapist. To ensure that my skills and approaches remain at high standards, I remain a part of a supervisor team led by a Canadian Association for Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) and American Association for Marriage and Family Therapist Approved Supervisor (AAMFT).

As your therapist, I see you as being capable in tapping into your own inner truths and ultimately having the answers within yourself. I am curious on how you view the world, as well as yourself and the people around you. I maintain a trauma-informed and diversity affirmative viewpoint and strive towards creating a space where you feel safe and supported. In working with couples, I am listening for your unspoken wants and fears while paying attention to your patterns in interacting and sources of strength and compassion.

It is often when things become uncomfortable that leads us to seek change. If you are choosing to come to therapy, you have made the most important first step in your journey. I am excited to meet you there and walk along with you for the next couple of steps!
